Founder, Sam Goldman MRCVS created Nirvana Vets with his partner, Kate Bleasdale MRCVS, after several years working as a first opinion vet and after graduating from the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA).
 
"Occasionally, as a first opinion vet I would do home visit euthanasias. It became very apparent to me that home visit euthanasias were much less stressful for both the owner and the pet. I noticed what a difference it made for the owner and pet, when we were in the privacy and familiarity of the owner's home and when all of the time pressures experienced in-clinic were removed. 

After experiencing this on numerous occasions it became my vision to create a service which offered an alternative approach to end of life care. A service which specialises in providing owners with a gentle and compassionate goodbye at home.

Having lost pets ourselves, we really sympathised with all the owners preferring a home visit and as vets, this is how we would want to say goodbye to our dearest Poodle Carmen when the time comes.

This is our reason for setting up Nirvana Vets. We want home visit euthanasias to be an option for every owner.
